Next Friends Meeting:

FPBO General Membership Meeting, Monday, August 21, 5:30 pm at the Omni Commons, 4799 Shattuck Ave, Oakland, CA. The Omni is about an eight-block walk from Macarthur BART. We’ll probably meet upstairs; look at the whiteboard to find us.

Working Group Meetings:

The Outreach Working Group will meet on Thursday, August 17st at 6:00pm. We’ll be in the outside seating area at Max’s Diner, 500 12th Street, Oakland.

Other working group meetings will be announced soon.

Next Deadline:

We come before the City Council on Tuesday, September 19, to make our case once again. Details about how to participate in that meeting will be available closer to the time. Meanwhile, we welcome your donation to help make up the $25,000 Oakland wants from other sources. If you are able to donate, please select “Other” at the link and put “Friends of the Public Bank of Oakland” in the “in honor of” box, so our fiscal sponsor can keep its books straight. And thank you!

Public Forum: Sustainability and Public Banking
